Converting the standard Buddipole into a 6 meters 3 elements Yagi
Extra parts from Buddipole
- 2 Arms
- 4 whips
- 3 Knobs (from the rotating arm kit, ask Budd to buy only the knobs)
- 2 union joints (from the 6 meters kit, not on the Buddipole website yet)
Installation steps
1- The Buddipole kit.
What you need
2- Whips and Arms
3- Use the knob to attach the homebrew arms union on the top of
the VersaTee.
4- Place the "driven" whips on the VersaTee and screw arms in the
homebrew union.
5- Screw the union and whips at both ends. One end will be the
"director" and the other the "Reflector".
6- Feed the antenna on the VersaTee (RED and BLACK connectors) flip the switch of your
transceiver and enjoy your new Yagi !
Sizes and Specifications
This Buddipole Yagi is optimized to be used at 50.290 Mhz (PSK31 SSB). But can be easily
adjusted to be resonant at any frequency in the 6 meters band.
